What This Community Means to People

Real words from those who have lived this mission — patients, families, volunteers, and researchers whose lives have been touched by Rexanna's Foundation.

Rally Card Recipient

Thank you for sending Julie Emmitt into my life. She is such a special lady.

Family of a Recipient

Pat was always commenting how much she loved receiving the cards and how much she appreciated her Rally Card Writer. She found comfort and encouragement through every single one.

Program Impact

Every note seems to come at just the right time. Every note brings hope — and is a little bright light to the day. The feedback from our patients has been tremendous.

Medical Community

Dr. Karp was inspired by Rexanna's sheer enthusiasm and fight to beat the cancer even with the dismal odds. She believed God had a plan — and she had faith and hope.

Rally Card Writer

Writing can feel very one-sided — but what is important to know is how appreciated every writer is. True relationships are cultivated from this selfless example of kindness.

In Memoriam

Sandy spread laughter and light wherever she went and made every acquaintance her best friend. Her availability to fill a need knew no bounds.

Featured Story

In Memory of Pat Hood

Pat Hood was a remarkable woman, cherished as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her love for snowmen and her devotion to family illuminated her life. Witnessing her grandchildren growing up brought her immeasurable joy.

When cancer entered her life, her son Steve sought to uplift her spirits regularly. He enrolled her to begin receiving Rally Cards from Rexanna's Foundation, which became a beacon of encouragement through her medical appointments and challenging days at home.

Thank you for sending Julie Emmitt into my life. She is such a special lady.

— Pat Hood, Rally Card Recipient

Following Pat's passing, Steve honored her legacy with a generous donation ensuring that cards and stamps remain available for every volunteer writer. Rexanna's Foundation is proud to carry her name forward — the Pat Hood Rally Cards, in her memory.
